Pick of the Week: Cat Eliza T EP + Video Launch
For Fans Of: Newton Faulkner, Two Door Cinema Club, Lucy Rose
Welcome to Pick of the Week, where we pick an event going on in the gig guide and give it the spotlight we feel it deserves. This weeks Pick of the Week is our friend Cat Eliza T's EP + Video Launch, with support from Kitty O'Neal.
At this special event Cat is debuting three new tracks rebranded as I SHOULD WAIT AROUND, as well as screening both a music video for the title track (in collaboration with Ben Grace) and his short film "ANTELOPE."
ANTELOPE is a short film based on Ben Grace's experience of being sectioned at Antelope House after a suicide attempt in 2012, and his struggles to re-establish relationships with his family after being released.
It has been screened at numerous film festivals across Europe, including as part of Ideas For Wellbeing, an evening of short films and discussion of mental health, an event co-produced by Healthwatch Southampton and Touch Network as part of Southampton Film Week.
There will also be donation buckets for Solent Mind, a registered charity providing a wide range of high quality services to support people with mental health problems across the Southern Region.
CAT ELIZA T has many strings to her bow, literally. A self-professed lover of 'string things' she entertains audiences with her ever growing menagerie of instruments. Her effervescent stage presence has enchanted audiences across the UK and internationally.
In the Summers of 2015 and 2016 Cat toured Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, representing Beefeater Gin. She featured on multiple radio stations and live national television. For these trips she created an EP, 'Sofia', printing only 100 CDs which were never released online.

KITTY O'NEAL is a singer-songwriter from the U.K. In 2017, Kitty released two EPs, 'A Home' and 'OK', both receiving radio play on BBC Introducing and attracting venues in the South of England where she has supported household folk names Maz O'Connor and Meadowlark.
Mixing her folk influences heard in 'A Home' with a love of RnB and electronic sound in 'OK', she is releasing an album in 2018 ahead of her UK summer tour which promises to encapsulate both of these moods in a unique and ever-evolving sound.
